| Glauco Bertagnin was
born in Padova, he studied violin at the conservatory "C.
Pollini" where he graduated with honour under the guide of P.Juvarra. From 1978 since 1986 he studied at the Geneve Conservatory and he graduated with the "virtuositeč" diploma with hopnour end special mention under the guide of C. Romano. He won prizes in many competitions (Vittorio Veneto, Pescara, Cesena, Cittą di Castello). Glauco Bertagnin performs in many chamber groups from duo to chamber strings orchestra. Since 1980 he is principal soloist of the chamber group "I Solisti Veneti", with this grous he performed for the most important musical festivals and for the most important concert halls (Salzburg, Edimburg, Carnegie Hall of New York, Bunka Kaikan Tokyio). He has performed as soloist numerous radio and tele-recordings in Italy as well as abroad. He has also contributed in the recording of numerous cds in cooperation with wold-wide famous soloists. Glauco Bertagnin teachs violin at the "A. Vivaldi" conservatory of Novara. He plays a Guadagnini violin, made in 1803.
